In this quick tutorial I show you how to create an animated 3D photo effect using Premiere Pro 2023 and Photoshop 2023.
Add your image into photoshop 2023. Select the quick selection tool. Click on the down arrow beside Select subject. Select the Cloud option (detailed version) and then click on select subject. Hit command J on a Mac, control J with a PC. This creates a new layer of just the subject on a transparent layer. Now turn the bottom layer off, and export a PNG of the top layer only.
Now hold down command on a Mac, Control on a PC, and click on the top layer to reselect the subject. Now delette the top layer and select the bottom layer. Next, go to select — modify — expand and expand the selection by 15 pixels.
Now go to edit, content aware fill. This will allow you to remove the subject. Click on ok. Export this image as a jpg.
Next, we go to Premiere Pro, and add both images in. Place the background image on track 1 and the subject image on track 2. For track 2, open up the effect controls panel and click on the stop watch beside scale. Animate the scale from 100% at the start to 115% at the end.
For track 1, the background track, animate the scale from 120% at the beginning to 100% at the end.
