How to create a black and white or B&W to color transition in Premiere Pro. First, drop your footage onto the timeline. Next, select the razor tool and cut a few seconds off at the beginning – in this tutorial we chose two seconds. Now go to your effects panel and grab the lumetri color effect and drop it on your two second clip. Go to basic correction — saturation and reduce the saturation from 100 to 0. Click the toggle animation stopwatch while making sure the playhead is at the start. Now move forward to the 2 second mark and adjust the saturation to 100.
