Adobe Premiere Pro CC – How to use SIMPLE Transitions

In this video, I show you how to use and apply simple transitions without all the unnecessary fluff. We use the cross dissolve transition, the most commonly used in film.

Now, go to workspace, and click on the “effects” workspace. Make sure that “effects” is open. If you do not see the effects panel, go to window — effects and make sure there is a checkmark beside it.

Now, click on video transitions, drop the arrow down, and then select “Cross dissolve”. This is the most commonly used transition. From there, drag and drop it onto the middle point between your two shots for a standard transition.

Do note that there are many other transitions you can experiment with – I just want to show you the basics.
