In this video I show you how to create the cinematic black bars you see at the top and bottom of modern films. First, place your footage on the timeline. Now, click on create new black video in the project panel. Next, place your original footage on v2 / video track two. Place your black video on v1 / video track 1. Make sure the black video is the same length as your original footage. Now click on effects — crop. In effect controls, set your top and bottom crop to 15%. That’s it!
