Creating a soft color effect in photoshop is easy, and you don’t need to use filters. Step 1 is to add your photo into photoshop. Then create a duplicate copy. Next, add a black and white adjustment layer to the image. Next, create a solid color fill layer – teal or sepia are two of the most common vintage looks.
Now reduce the opacity down, I chose to go with 14%. You can also adjust the blending mode to screen if you wish.
Lastly, create a curves adjustment, and consider adding in more reds and lighter blues via the red, green, and blue options.
