In this tutorial I show you how to create a glow effect inside Premiere Pro CC 2021. I show you to create a glow effect to a specific object or subject, and I also how you how to change the color of the glow.
First, drop your video into the timeline. Create a duplicate copy. Selecting the top video track, apply a fast blur or gaussian blur – increase to approximately 80. Next, change the blend mode from normal to screen. This will apply a full glow effect to your video.
To apply a selective glow, select the free form bezier tool / pen tool and draw a mask around the object you want to glow. This will apply a selective glow. Next, if you want to change the color of the glow, select the lighting effect and apply it. Change the color from white to whatever color you want your glow to be – in this tutorial we used red. This changes the colour of your glow!
