In this tutorial I show you step by step how to create clipping masks inside adobe photoshop CC 2021.
Open photoshop, then click file — new. Select the document size you want to work with and then click create. From there, select the rectangle or ellipse tool to create a shape.
Next, you want to go to your file folder and select the image you want to work with. Drop it into the document and onto the canvas / dartboard.
From there, you want to go to your layers under artboard. Make sure that the image you are using is directly above the shape you want to clip too. Resize the image to the size you want, and also make sure that it is directly above the shape on the canvas.
Now, hold down the option (Mac) or Alt (PC) and then hover between the lines between the layers. This will create a perfect clipping mask.
