Fading video in and fading video out in premiere pro is easy to do. The first step is to drop your video footage onto the timeline. Next, cut the video into three sections. The first section, in this tutorial is 2 seconds long. Set the playhead to the start of the clip and click on the opacity toggle animation switch. Set the opacity to zero percent at the beginning and then to 100% after two seconds. This is a video fade in.
Now go to the last two seconds and click the opacity stopwatch again. Set the opacity to 100% at the start and drop it to 0% at the end of the clip. This is a video fade out.
