In this tutorial I show you how to create the double exposure effect step by step. This is a very commonly used technique in the VFX / GFX world.
Step 1 – drop base image into photoshop
Step 2 – drop the second image in photoshop on top of the first image
Step 3 – Change the blend mode on the top layer to “screen”.
Step 4 – Go to the bottom layer, and go to select and then select subject.
Step 5 – Go back to the top layer, and click on add layer mask.
Step 6 – Left click on the brush tool, select a soft round brush with 20% opacity.
Step 7 – Set the foreground color to black – and begin painting the edges and some of the rougher parts of the image.
